Lawn Care

A healthy lawn depends less on any single visit and more on doing the right thing at the right time of year. We mow at the correct height for your grass type, edge every border, blow clippings off hard surfaces and keep a simple log of what was done so feeding, aeration and seeding happen when they actually help.

Typical price
$50 – $90per visit, lawns up to 5,000 sq ft
Time on site
45–90 minutes
How often
Weekly or every two weeks, March–November

When you need it

  • Grass is thinning, patchy or full of weeds
  • You want a regular mowing schedule without managing it
  • Soil feels hard and water runs off instead of soaking in
  • Bare spots after summer heat or heavy foot traffic

What's included

  • Mowing at the right height for the season
  • Edging along beds, paths and driveways
  • Clippings blown off paths and patios
  • Visit notes after every appointment

How we do it

  1. Walk the lawn and check grass type, soil and problem areas
  2. Agree a schedule and a mowing height
  3. Mow, edge and clean up on each visit
  4. Recommend aeration, feeding or seeding only when the lawn needs it

Garden Design

A good garden plan starts with what you already have: light, soil, drainage, views and how you use the space. We measure the site, talk through what you want from it, and draw a planting and layout plan with a plant list and a phased budget, so you can build it all at once or a section at a time.

Typical price
$650 – $2,400per design plan
Time on site
2–4 weeks from first visit to final plan
How often
One-time project

When you need it

  • New home with a bare or tired garden
  • Beds that never look right no matter what you plant
  • Planning a patio, path or kitchen garden
  • Wanting color across all four seasons

What's included

  • Free first consultation on site (up to 45 minutes)
  • Measured site plan with sun and shade notes
  • Planting plan with a full plant list
  • Phased budget you can build in stages

How we do it

  1. First visit to listen and look at the site
  2. Measure and photograph the garden
  3. Draw a concept and review it with you
  4. Deliver the final plan, plant list and budget

Planting & Flower Beds

Plants only thrive when the bed under them is prepared properly. We remove turf or weeds, improve the soil, set the bed edges and plant at the right spacing and depth. Every plant is listed on your quote with its size and cost, so you see exactly what you are paying for.

Typical price
$650 – $3,000per new bed installed, plants listed separately at cost
Time on site
1–2 days per bed
How often
One-time, plus optional seasonal color

  • You want seasonal annual color by the entrance
  • Plants keep failing in the same spot

What's included

  • Turf and weed removal
  • Soil improvement with compost
  • Clean, defined bed edges
  • Planting, watering in and first mulch

How we do it

  1. Mark the bed and confirm the plant list

Pruning & Hedges

Pruning at the wrong time can cost a shrub a year of flowers. We prune each plant when it suits that plant, shape hedges so they stay dense at the base, and thin small trees to let in light. Clippings are removed and composted, not left in your beds.

Typical price
$65 – $90per hour, or $5 – $15 per shrub
Time on site
2–6 hours for most gardens
How often
Two to three times a year

When you need it

  • Hedges are wide at the top and thin at the bottom
  • Shrubs are blocking windows, paths or light
  • Flowering shrubs have stopped blooming well
  • Small ornamental trees need shaping

What's included

  • Hedge shaping and height reduction
  • Shrub pruning by plant type
  • Small tree pruning under 15 feet
  • All clippings removed from site

How we do it

  1. Identify each plant and its pruning window
  2. Agree heights and shapes with you
  3. Prune with clean, sharp tools
  4. Clear and compost every clipping

Mulch & Soil Care

Mulch saves water, keeps weeds down and feeds the soil, but only at the right depth and kept away from stems and trunks. We weed the beds first, cut a clean edge, then spread mulch at two to three inches. A soil test is available if plants are struggling and you want to know why.

Typical price
$75 – $120per cubic yard, installed
Time on site
2–5 hours for most gardens
How often
Once or twice a year

When you need it

  • Beds dry out quickly in summer
  • Weeds come back within weeks
  • Old mulch has faded or washed away
  • Plants look pale or slow-growing

What's included

  • Weeding before mulching
  • Bed edges re-cut
  • Mulch spread at 2–3 inches
  • Optional soil test with results explained

How we do it

  1. Measure beds and confirm mulch type and amount
  2. Weed and edge every bed
  3. Spread mulch evenly, clear of stems
  4. Clean paths and leave the area tidy

Irrigation & Watering

Most garden watering problems are small: a cracked fitting, a clogged emitter or a timer set for July in October. We find and fix leaks, adjust heads so water lands on plants instead of paths, and set your timer for the season. We also install simple drip zones for beds and containers.

Typical price
$120 – $350per repair visit
Time on site
1–3 hours
How often
As needed, plus spring start-up and fall winterization

When you need it

  • Dry patches even though the system runs
  • Water spraying onto paths or walls
  • Higher water bills with no clear reason
  • Beds that need watering but have no system

What's included

  • System check zone by zone
  • Repairs to heads, lines and fittings
  • Timer set for the current season
  • Written notes on anything worn out

How we do it

  1. Run each zone and look for faults
  2. Repair or replace failed parts
  3. Adjust spray patterns and run times
  4. Show you the timer settings we used

Seasonal Cleanups

A thorough cleanup sets the garden up for the season ahead. In spring we cut back dead growth, weed and wake the beds up. In fall we clear leaves, cut back perennials that need it, protect tender plants and leave the garden tidy for winter. All green waste is taken away.

Typical price
$205 – $805per cleanup visit
Time on site
Half a day to two days
How often
